Visionet Online Services Support Pages-Outlook2000

Double-click the Microsoft Outlook 2000 icon.
Click the Next button.
Click the Next button.
Click the Next button.
Check the box next to Internet E-mail.
Click the Next button.
Click the Setup Mail Account button.
In the Mail account field, type a name for your email account (i.e. Visionet Email).
In the Name field, type your full name.
In the E-mail address field, type your full email address.
For most customers this will be something@visionet.net.
Some of our long time customers will have an email address with the domain ending in .org
(example: something@visionet.org)
Click on the Servers tab.
In the Incoming Mail (POP3) field, type your Incoming mail server (POP):
If your address ends in .NET use: pop.visionet.net
If your address ends in .ORG use: pop.visionet.org
In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field, type your Outgoing mail server (SMTP):
If your address ends in .NET use: mail.visionet.net
If your address ends in .ORG use: mail.visionet.org
In the Account name field, type your full Visionet email address (e.g., johndoe@visionet.net).
In the Password field, type your email password.
Click on the Connection tab.
Click the Connect using my phone line radio button in the Connection area.
Click the down arrow on the Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection drop-down list and choose your Visionet connection.
Click the OK button.
Click the Next button.
Click the Finish button.
Close Outlook 2000.

Congratulations! You have successfully configured Outlook 2000 to work with your Visionet email.
